Andrew, Michelle & Co

My dear friend from Vermont flew me to Tucson Arizona, so I could photograph her family.

It was so great to see her and her girls!  These little ladies are just gorgeous!

Carolina is the oldest and such a mellow big sister.

She would read or play outside with sticks all day, if you’d let her! I love this girl!

Georgie…what can I say!?  This girl is so spunky and fun!  She is an avid reader too!

Sophie, the world envies your gorgeous red hair!

And Emmaline!  This little 18 month old darling is so coy!  You just want to squeeze those cute little cheeks all day long!

Tucson is all desert. Landscape is heavy on cacti and dirt.

We were lucky to have access to this local park with green trees and GRASS!

These two have been photographed side by side like this for years!

I love this image of Sophie!

Andrew and Michelle are some of my favorite people.

Talented in so many ways and the most patient and loving parents I have been around!

They ooze with goodness and love.

We recreated this shot “everyone look at the baby!” from 2008:With the new baby Emmaline in 2011:So fun!

My, how these sweet girls have grown!

Andrew and Michelle, I thank you for flying me to Tucson, for allowing me the pleasure to photograph your family and for all the wonderful adventures we had while I was there!

It was unforgettable!

Best of luck with Residency, Andrew!

December 19, 2011 - 10:14 pm Annie - Beautiful light! Very soft and flattering. Great work Vanessa!

Joey, Sabrina & Co

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family at the San Xavier Mission in Tucson AZ this past weekend!

I knew Sabrina back in Hacienda Heights California, when I was a teenager.

We hadn’t seen each other since then.

It was my first time meeting these beautiful children!

The younger two were just bursting with personality!

They kept me laughing the entire time.

It’s so much fun when you just let the children be children.

So maybe they goof off a little, but I would hate to miss these moments on film!

Sweet little Hazel in the pink dress was pulling out the best modeling poses for almost every picture!

Sylvia, in the denim dress, rarely looked into the camera.

There was little coaching during this shoot. I’d say, “stand in a line!” and this is what they gave me:

Or, “Go stand over there near that bench.” and they did.“Line up tallest to shortest!” The relationship between Sylvia and Hazel is too sweet for words!Luke kept his cool the entire shot. I am not even sure I heard him say a word.  So easy going!Isabel was soo classy! She was so poised for every picture! What a beauty!Again, Sylvia avoided the camera lens.

I would move in front of her, and she would just move her head another direction, looking off into the distance.

Don’t fight it. Embrace it.

She is a doll.Oh humble Hazel. I adore you!  I wish I could have brought you home with me!Your family is blessed to have you as the little sister. I imagine you light up their lives!  You sure light up mine!Joey and Sabrina, you guys look great!!!  I was so happy with the clothing colors/variations!  So vibrant and fun!

I’ll have my readers/followers know that Sabrina is an amazing artist!!!

We are trading our talents.  In exchange for this photo shoot, she will be doing some illustrations of our little Bridgette. I can’t wait!

Please, check out her work HERE.Thank you for taking me to the Mission!Hazel, you’re killing me!

And Sylvia, you are a smart girl!It was a beautiful afternoon and so nice to catch up with an old friend!

Twins & Younger Sister

This was a fun photo shoot!

These cute twin boys were so much fun.  They have a very serious side to them, but once the camera was out of their faces, they were chasing each other, laughing, etc.

Betsy was just a doll!

I am still not sure who is who. Upon edited single shots of them, I wasn’t sure who I was working on!

Thank you Janis, for such a fun afternoon!

December 7, 2011 - 9:52 pm Vanessa - Thank you Esther!!

December 7, 2011 - 9:46 pm Esther Clarke - Oh these pictures are lovely! Such sweet faces and so well captured. Wish you were here. :)
